The associations, and what each one publishes before you join.

Seven statewide bodies by license, CAMFT’s 23 chapters with the pre-licensed page, supervision directory, job board and resources each one keeps in the open, and the specialty and regional associations. Dues appear only where the organization prints them on a page anyone can read. No names, no contacts: the organization, its URL, and the page that answers the question.

By license

Seven statewide bodies, and the pages they keep open.

Each license has a professional association and most have two. The table lists the pages a non-member can read: the pre-licensed and licensure pages, the supervision pages, the job boards. Membership decisions are yours; this page states what is published.

Dues are quoted from the organization’s own open page on 5 September 2026 and change; the join page is the figure that counts. “Not on an open page” means the figure sits behind a login or inside a live form and is not guessed here.

CAMFT chapters

Twenty-three chapters, and where the 3000 clubs and supervision directories are.

CAMFT’s local chapters run the “3000 clubs” for pre-licensed members, the supervision directories, the job boards and the pre-licensed job fairs. Most chapter sites are open to read; the directories themselves sometimes ask for a login. The hours the club is named for are worked through on the 3,000-hours page, and how to read a supervision directory on finding a clinical supervisor.

From CAMFT’s chapter map and each chapter’s own site, 5 September 2026. A dash means no such page was linked from the chapter’s home page that day, not that the chapter has no program; 21 of 23 chapters list a website on the map.

Specialty and regional

Four more, by specialty or county.

Verified reachable on 5 September 2026. Two other regional psychological associations are left off: one’s former domain now serves unrelated content, and one was unreachable on the day.

What to use them for

Four things an association does that a website cannot.

01A supervision directory with real names in it.

Every chapter supervision directory above lists licensed supervisors who have asked to be listed. It is the one place a pre-licensed reader finds supervisors who want associates, sorted by area; this site deliberately carries no such list. How to read one.

02A 3000 club, which is a room.

The pre-licensed groups (Los Angeles, Long Beach/South Bay, Desert, San Gabriel Valley, Orange County’s “3000 Hour Club”) meet, trade job leads and exam notes, and hear from supervisors. The number in the name is the hours requirement; the club is the company while you accrue it.

03A job board that employers in your county actually read.

Chapter job boards and the annual pre-licensed job fairs (Ventura County lists one) carry the agency and group-practice postings that never reach the national boards. Pair them with the county portals.

04A legal or ethics consultation line, for members.

CAMFT lists legal-team consultations and CALPCC a legal-advice consultation among the member benefits on their open pages. It is a large part of what the dues buy, and the thing a solo practitioner cannot buy elsewhere at the price. Whether it is worth it to you is a question this page leaves with you; the liability policies are the other half of that answer.

Where every figure came from

Every URL above answered on 5 September 2026. Organizations and their public pages only: no officers, staff or contacts are named, and none should be added. Dues change with the year and the category; the join page governs. This site earns nothing from any link here and is not affiliated with any organization listed.

Source notes

Use the citations and any dated evidence records to check the claims relevant to your task. This label is not a verification status.

You should not have to work this part out on your own.

Once a month: free tools and apps worth having, better ways to run the admin side of a practice, what other California therapists are actually doing, and anything new here that might save you an afternoon.

About monthly. One click to leave. Never sold, never shared. The consent box is separate and unticked because California requires it — and because it should be.
