Changelog

What changed, and when.

The figures on this site that have moved, most recent first, each with the page it affects and the source it came from.

18 entries

A log of numbers that moved — fees, limits, rates, panel status, accreditation actions — not a list of pages that were published. On a site whose whole claim is that the figures are checked, this is the proof of the claim.

Every entry links to the page that carries the number and, where one exists, to the primary source. If you spot something that has moved and is not here, tell me.

  1. SimplePractice insurance pricing: added the announced 1 October 2026 claim and status-check changes, a browser-local October cost estimate, and clear date boundaries on older software comparisons. The notice separates Insurance Essentials billing from the Essential subscription plan.

  2. Anthem program-scope correction: the cited 45-day estimate comes from the Medi-Cal provider site and is not a verified commercial-product timeline. The Anthem guide and panel comparison now direct readers to program-specific enrollment and written participation confirmation.

  3. Aetna timeline correction: current joining instructions and FAQs do not support the earlier 45-day decision, 7–10-day acknowledgment or 10–14-day CAQH-package statements. Corrected the Aetna guide and panel comparison. The 60-day statement on the joining page applies to its facility section.

  4. Optum source-scope correction: the open commercial and Medicare Advantage statement is within a dated Arizona notice, not evidence of current California availability. Corrected the Optum guide and panel comparison to distinguish an application route from product participation.

  5. Evernorth source recheck: the earlier application-pause page now redirects to portal application instructions. The panel guide now explains Contracting access and the single-session application. Other payer rows retain their August source checks; applying does not establish network participation.

  6. Added a directory of every PsyD program based in California, grouped by APA accreditation status. The organizing fact: the Board of Psychology requires regional institutional accreditation, not APA programmatic accreditation, but 16 CCR 1387 requires an APA/APPIC/CAPIC internship - so a non-APA doctorate can license you here and still make the internship year and any move out of state much harder.

  7. Reconciled the program directory against the Board's own list: 13 institutions added (65 to 78), and the LPCC column corrected for 33 of them — 7 that showed no answer are listed for LMFT and not LPCC, including Cal Poly Humboldt, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and USC.

  8. Added the Board's Notice to Students about Sentio University: its graduates may register as Associates but cannot sit the Clinical Exam or be licensed until Sentio is fully accredited, and if that does not happen by July 2028 existing Associates are disqualified and their hours void.

  9. BBS fees halved: registration through license fell from $1,750 to $875, reverting on 30 June 2030.

  10. Evernorth (Cigna) behavioral health closed to new individual applicants, pointing providers back after 1 September 2026.

  11. California SDI withholding set at 1.3% for 2026, on the whole salary with no ceiling — $1,248 on a $96,000 S-corp wage.

  12. The 401(k) employee deferral rose to $24,500 and the IRA limit to $7,500, $8,600 from age 50.

  13. The SIMPLE IRA deferral rose from $16,500 to $17,000, with the catch-up at $4,000.

  14. Direct Roth contributions phase out between $153,000 and $168,000 of modified AGI filing single, and $242,000 to $252,000 jointly.

  15. UC Berkeley's psychedelic facilitation certificate paused enrollment for 2025-26; its pages have not been updated since, and no restart or tuition has been announced.

  16. Oregon's residency requirement for psilocybin facilitator licensure expired, so a Californian may now hold one — while still facilitating only inside an Oregon service center.

  17. The psilocybin facilitator training left Naropa University for the independent Memoru Center, which is Colorado-approved only and has dropped Oregon.

  18. California removed the SDI wage cap, making all wages subject to contributions — which is what turns an S-corp salary into an uncapped 1.3% charge.
